Custom Thumbnail APIs Three new endpoints let you set an asset's thumbnail instead of relying on the automatically generated one. Upload Custom Thumbnail replaces it with your own JPEG, PNG or WebP image. Set Thumbnail from Storyboard uses one of a video's storyboard frames. Revert Custom Thumbnail goes back to the generated thumbnail. A custom thumbnail is kept when the original file is replaced or the asset is reprocessed. To show a new thumbnail straight away rather than a cached one, add the v parameter to on-demand image URLs: see Showing an updated thumbnail.

Asset Relationships API Record and navigate typed relationships between assets: parent_child for an asset produced from another, related for a two-way link, or a custom type of your own. FileSpin creates parent_child relationships automatically when AI Edit Image or Remove Background saves its result as a new asset, so you can trace every derived asset back to its source. List, create and delete relationships per asset, or create and delete them between two assets explicitly. Asset data can include an asset's relationships with ?include=relationships. Print Export Addon (CMYK / 300 DPI / TIFF + PDF/X-1a) A new paid addon that converts images into print-ready files — CMYK colour, stamped print DPI (default 300), as CMYK TIFF, CMYK JPEG, print PDF, or PDF/X-1a — using industry-standard ICC profiles. Run it on demand via the API or automatically on upload through the Automated Media Pipeline. Output can be saved as a conversion or a new asset, with an optional target print size and AI upscaling. Face Recognition & Search Addon for Images now supports floating-point number (e.g., 9.5, 9.8) for strictness parameter for more precise control of face matches. The enhancement is backward compatible - integers will continue to be supported for strictness parameter.

Teleport on-premise software - We've implemented a significant update that eliminates job-based hotfolder uploads. Now, every file placed in the hotfolder will be automatically pushed to the cloud on a best-effort basis.
Increased Parallel Upload - Teleport now supports up to 10 parallel uploads to SaaS, significantly improving upload efficiency and speed.

get_link API - updated with new parameter to get a direct storage link to an asset. This API allows you to get a direct storage link (such as S3 link) to an asset that can be used to download the asset directly.

Cloud Uploads - Dropbox now allows users to upload an entire folder from Dropbox to FileSpin. Additionally, the hard limit on number of Dropbox files shown is removed, a Load more button allows user to progressively load more files from Dropbox.
