Configuring Watched Folders

The Watched Folder feature enables automatic upload of files (Push to Cloud) by monitoring a specific folders and sending the files to FileSpin Cloud automatically. The files that have been successfully sent to the cloud are either deleted from the local folder or moved to an archive folder based on the upload policy.

To mark one or more folders as Watched folders:-

  • click on the "Add Watched Folder" button
  • in the dialog that opens, provide scheduling information and the addon services to enable for the folder
    • Addon Services are deployment specific. Examples: Face Recognition, Image Background Removal, etc

At any time, you can modify Watched Folder settings or remove a folder being a Watched Folder.

Creating a job manually

In addition to using the Watched Folder feature, you can also create an upload job manually by clicking on the "New Job" button in the Teleport dashboard. This feature allows you to manually select the folders to upload.

Setting Upload Policy

The Teleport dashboard also provides the option to set the upload policy, which determines how the Teleport will handle file uploads.
